Russia is a country that has many mountains. One of the mountains in Russia are the Caucasus Mts. The Caucasus Mts. separates southwestern Russia from Southwest Asia. I would say this is a bad thing because it can be difficult for Russia to import goods from that part of Asia. Even though there's not many enemys in the world, the Caucasus Mts. can still protect Russia from invasions from oher countries. Many of the mountains that covers Russia also makes transporting goods difficult to do. Since mountains are sort of hard to get over, Russia must have a hard time exporting to other countries as well.

In Russia, there are two plains that basically covers all of the western half of Russia. One of the plains is the Northern European Plains and the other on is the West Siberian PLain. These plains are basically the only flat land in Russia because most of Russia is covered with mountains. Most of all Russia's population live in the Northern European PLain because of the warm climate and fertile soil. Also, many of the important cities in Russia such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Volgograd is located in this area. Many of the industries in Russia are also located in this area of Russia as well. There are two major peninsulas in Russia. There is the Kamchakta Peninsula and the Kola Peninsula. The Kamchakta Peninsula is larger than the Kola Peninsula and it's the biggest peninsula in Russia. But of course, I would live in the Kola Peninsula because there are still active volcanoes in he Kamchakta Peninsula which can very dangerous. Rivers in Russia are pretty much useless because mostly river is frozen. The lakes in Russia are mostly frozen too. You can see that shipping products in Russia is hardly possible and most of the water supply in Russia is also frozen, so as you can see anything that's water in Russia, can't be used. external image 159497259.jpgexternal image 2903334966_3bdea4cb91.jpg?v=0external image volga_river.jpg
